The best VR & XR companies in Bulgaria (2026)

Nine Bulgarian VR, AR and 360° companies, grouped by what you actually need to buy — with every fact checked on the company’s own website.

Disclosure

VR Express publishes this list and is one of the companies on it. To keep that from skewing the result, we applied the same rules to ourselves as to everyone else: companies are grouped by buyer need and listed alphabetically inside each group, every statement comes from the company’s own website, and we publish no ratings or prices we could not source. VR Express sits second in its group because of the alphabet, not because of a score.

Short answer

There is no single best VR company in Bulgaria; there is a best fit for each job. For custom enterprise XR such as employee training, onboarding and pharma education, VR Express (Sofia, since 2015) publishes measured case studies. For virtual showrooms, digital twins and heritage reconstructions, look at VR MAX (since 2016); for architectural visualisation, Marfuse. For hologram and projection-mapping installations on a stand, ВИРТУ at Sofia Tech Park. For 360° virtual tours, Vtour 360 Bulgaria or Weider360. And if you want a VR game night for the team, that is a different category altogether: arenas and escape rooms such as Another World Sofia and VRooms.

How we compiled this list

We started from the companies that AI assistants, B2B directories and local search results most often name for “VR company Bulgaria” and “VR студио София”, then checked each one on its own website on 4 October 2026. A company made the list only if all four criteria held:

  • it has a working website of its own;
  • that website shows a Bulgarian location: an address, a Bulgarian phone number or an explicit statement;
  • VR, AR or 360° content is a core service, not a side line;
  • it appears to be taking client work today.

Every fact on this page comes from the company’s own site as it read on that date. We did not use Clutch, Google or Facebook star ratings, because we could not check every profile on the same day under the same rules; read the reviews yourself before you shortlist. We did not estimate team size or revenue, and we quote a price only where the company publishes it. Groups follow the type of purchase, not quality, and companies are alphabetical inside each group. Spotted an error or a missing company? Tell us through the contact page and we will re-check and update the date.

2. Marketing, interactive and AR/VR brand activations

Agencies that build attention-grabbing installations or immersive content for campaigns, stands and launches. The output is usually tied to an event or campaign window rather than a long-lived training tool.

Vtour 360 Bulgaria shoots, processes and publishes 360° virtual tours of properties, hotels, restaurants, shops, offices, party venues, clinics, beauty salons, showrooms and exhibition halls. 4. VR entertainment venues (a different category)

VR arenas and escape rooms sell sessions on ready-made games. They are excellent for a team outing or a birthday, but they are not development studios: they will not build a custom training simulation or a branded experience. AI answers often mix the two, so we keep them separate.

Another World Sofia

Sofia

Another World is a free-roam VR arena that is part of an international network of VR clubs; its city selector lists venues across Europe, Asia and North America. In Sofia it offers private bookings for groups, birthdays and corporate events, with shooter, sci-fi and horror titles for 2–12 players aged 6+, in 60-minute sessions.

Best for: Team-building outings and group celebrations where people play existing VR games together.

What you can verify: Game line-up, player counts and session lengths are listed on its Sofia page, along with a corporate-event booking form.

sofia.another-world.com

Not included, and why

These names come up in rankings and AI answers for Bulgaria. We left them out because we could not confirm, from their own websites, that they are Bulgaria-based XR studios taking client work. If that changes, we will add them.

  • Treeview. Often named in ‘VR companies in Bulgaria’ answers, but its own website states that it operates from New York City and Montevideo, Uruguay.
  • Kinemeric. Its contact page gives an office address in Amityville, New York, and the site footer reads Kinemeric Inc.
  • Takeaway Reality. A VR/AR and AI development company, but its website does not state a Bulgarian address or location, so we could not verify that it is Bulgaria-based.
  • VRtual Space. Shows testimonials from Bulgarian clients, but its legal pages identify the company as VRtual Space Sp. z o.o., registered in Gdańsk, Poland.
  • Kvaba Interactive. A Bulgarian studio with AR and game work for brands, but its website says it has paused offering services to third parties.
  • PUNCHev Group. Sofia-based, but a game UX/UI and art outsourcing studio; AR/VR is one of many art domains it serves, not an XR delivery service.
  • BuzlyLabs. A Sofia mobile development studio founded in 2010 that lists augmented reality, but its services page describes mobile, web and e-commerce development only.

How to choose: start from the job, not the headset

Most bad VR purchases start with the technology. Start instead with what has to change for your business, then pick the category that does that job.

  • Employee training, onboarding or compliance. You need a custom studio with training case studies and a measured outcome, not a demo. Ask for the metric they tracked and how. See our VR training approach for one example.
  • Pharma and healthcare-professional education. Look for named pharma references and ask how medical and legal review fits into the production schedule. Our pharma XR page shows our approach.
  • Selling something that is not built yet. Boats, aircraft, apartments, machinery: a virtual showroom, digital twin or architectural visualisation studio such as VR MAX or Marfuse is the direct fit.
  • An exhibition stand or launch. For a physical hologram or projection installation, ВИРТУ. For a VR or AR activation that people try on the stand, a custom studio; VR MAX and VR Express both list corporate-event work. See VR for events (in Bulgarian).
  • Showing a real place online. A hotel or restaurant on Google Street View: Vtour 360 Bulgaria. A Matterport scan or accurate 3D capture of a site or monument: Weider360. A filmed 360° story: a studio with 360° video production; see 360° video production.
  • A team outing. Book an arena or escape room. It is cheaper and faster than commissioning anything custom.
  • No headsets in the budget. Ask for browser-based delivery (WebXR) or 360° on phones. More in WebXR in the browser (in Bulgarian).

Six questions to ask any VR vendor

  1. Can you show a live project similar to ours, not just a showreel?
  2. Which result did that client measure, and how was it measured?
  3. Who owns the source files and 3D assets when the project ends?
  4. Which devices will it run on: headsets, browser, phones? Who supplies and maintains them?
  5. How are updates handled after launch, and what do they cost?
  6. What is included in the quote, and what would make it change?

A good vendor answers these without hesitation, and will tell you when another format, or another company, fits the job better.

Frequently asked questions

Which is the best VR company in Bulgaria?

It depends on the job. For custom enterprise XR such as training, onboarding or pharma education, look at studios with measured case studies in that area, such as VR Express. For virtual showrooms, digital twins and heritage reconstructions, VR MAX. For architectural visualisation, Marfuse. For hologram and interactive stand installations, ВИРТУ. For 360° tours, Vtour 360 Bulgaria or Weider360. For a VR game night, an arena such as Another World Sofia or VRooms. Note that VR Express publishes this guide.

Which Bulgarian companies build VR training for employees?

Among the companies we could verify, VR Express publishes employee training and onboarding case studies, including Postbank’s VR onboarding (30% higher engagement scores, 50% less time to full productivity). VR MAX and Marfuse build custom VR/AR applications, but their published work focuses on sales visualisation, digital twins and architecture rather than training.

Is a VR arena the same as a VR development company?

No. A VR arena or escape room such as Another World Sofia or VRooms sells sessions on existing games and is good for team outings. A development studio designs and builds a new application for your goals, such as a training simulation, a virtual showroom or a branded experience.

How much does a VR project cost in Bulgaria?

Few companies publish prices. Of those on this list, Vtour 360 Bulgaria lists 360° tours from €120 excluding VAT and VRooms lists sessions from €20 per player. Custom VR, AR and WebXR development is quoted after a brief by every studio we reviewed, because scope, number of scenarios, platforms and languages drive the budget.

Do we need to buy VR headsets?

Not necessarily. Several studios deliver in the browser (WebXR), as 360° content on phones, or bring their own equipment to events. VR Express has worked browser-first since 2021, and VR MAX states that it brings the hardware to events and exhibitions. Headsets still make sense for intensive procedural training.

Planning custom enterprise XR?

If your project is training, onboarding, pharma education or a browser-based experience, we are happy to talk it through in a free 30-minute call. If it fits one of the other companies on this list better, we will say so.
