Bulgaria's First VR Cinema Night: The Art of Immersive Storytelling
The inaugural VR Cinema Night in Bulgaria, featuring a highly curated program of immersive films and professional lectures on the art and craft of storytelling. Hosted at the VR Express Arcade, the event provided an intimate group of 12 participants with a "white-glove" introduction to VR cinematography using four dedicated PC VR stations. The session successfully moved beyond the 'wow' factor of the hardware to explore the actual artistic and technical viability of the medium.

Challenge
In 2016, the local creative and film industry in Bulgaria lacked a professional understanding of VR as a cinematic medium, often dismissing it as a gaming novelty. There was a critical need to demonstrate the technical and narrative bridge between traditional filmmaking and 360-degree immersive storytelling through a high-quality, curated experience.
Outcome
Successfully debuted the VR Cinema format in Bulgaria, establishing a blueprint for immersive film screenings.
