🌲 Bulgarian Folklore | VR Art Experience

An immersive exploration of Bulgarian heritage, this VR art piece was created to demonstrate the potential of virtual reality as a new frontier for artistic expression. Developed using 3D volumetric tools within VR, the experience allows users to step inside a hand-crafted world where traditional folklore meets modern digital medium.

Challenge

The primary challenge was introducing a traditional art community to a completely new technical workflow. We aimed to prove that VR isn't just for gaming, but a powerful volumetric tool for artists to sculpt and paint in three-dimensional space, requiring a balance between technical optimization and creative freedom.

Outcome

The showcase at the National Academy of Arts was a resounding success, creating an uplifted and heightened atmosphere. Students and faculty engaged in spontaneous experimentation, with the experience serving as a catalyst for new artistic inquiries and proving the viability of VR as a legitimate medium for fine arts.
