HackConf 2016: VR Awareness Showcase
At HackConf 2016, we deployed a high-throughput VR activation to introduce the developer community to the power of immersive technology. Using Oculus DK2 headsets, we provided hundreds of attendees with their first taste of virtual reality, running a series of engaging gaming simulations. The goal was to raise awareness and spark curiosity about VR's potential among Bulgaria's top tech talent in a fast-paced conference environment.
Challenge
Providing high-impact, interactive engagement for hundreds of tech-savvy attendees during a massive developer conference, while managing the logistical risks of expensive, novel hardware in a high-traffic environment.
Outcome
Successfully 'virtualized' over 500 participants, making the VR zone the most popular interactive spot at the conference.
