Cinematic VR: Industry Foundations & Storytelling Showcase

The activation featured a hybrid technical setup with two PC-VR stations (Oculus DK2) and two mobile stations (Samsung Gear VR), allowing professionals to experience the difference between high-end simulations and portable cinematic content.

Challenge

In 2016, the local creative and film industry lacked a professional understanding of VR as a cinematic medium, often dismissing it as a gaming novelty. There was a critical need to demonstrate the technical and narrative bridge between traditional filmmaking and 360-degree immersive storytelling.

Outcome

Successfully established VR Express as a pioneer in the Bulgarian VR cinema niche and catalyzed interest among local content creators.
